Blackboard LMS will end support for LTI 1.0 and 1.1 tools by September 30, 2027, requiring an upgrade to the more secure LTI 1.3 standard. This update aligns with industry security standards and enhances user experience. • Administrators should review their LTI tool inventory now and coordinate with providers to upgrade or recreate links before the deadline. • Developers are encouraged to use the in-place upgrade path to update links without breaking existing links. • After September 30, 2027, all LTI 1.0 and 1.1 tools will be turned off, ceasing to function in Blackboard LMS.
