I inherited a copy of an eLearn course from another instructor. We are having the students write a scientific paper in parts, with a section due each week, turned in on eLearn. There is a folder for each week, and in each folder is a link for the students to submit a section of the paper. For the next week, there is a column in the Gradebook for the final section (the Abstract), but there is no submission link in that week's folder, or anywhere else. When I clicked on the Grade Center column for the Abstract, I didn't see any way to create a submission link for this column. Likewise, from within the Week 7 folder, I can't find a way to make a new submission link and link it to this existing Grade Center column; it sounds like I'd be creating a brand new assignment and a new column in the Grade Center. So my question is: how do I make a link for students to turn in submissions for an Assignment that already exists in the Grade Center?
