You don't have as many options. Right now you can't choose how the questions are displayed on the page (but I believe they are working on that), but you can randomise the answers or add a random pool. You can randomise the whole test also.
So you're right. You can't prohibit backtracking or display the questions one at a time. Really the only way to do it right now (partially at least) would be to create parts. So they complete the part A test and submit, and then you have a performance condition that opens up part B.
Hi Tom, @Lauren Hives' suggestions are great and she is correct. I want to add that both presenting questions one at a time and prohibiting backtracking are both on the longterm roadmap. Unless priorities change, I expect these features in the latter half of 2020.
