For Blackboard, data privacy is of utmost importance and we take our responsibility to comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) very seriously. We have established a dedicated California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) project to implement the CCPA requirements by January 1, 2020.
The CCPA implementation project builds on our existing Data Privacy program and will be able to leverage many enhancements that we introduced as part of rolling out the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) globally. Our CCPA implementation project is supported by our external law firm and by our internal CCPA project structure which leverages our network of Data Privacy Champions.
We will provide more information on our CCPA implementation project on here on the Data Privacy and Security Community site in due course.
I have a question. As a hosted client with Blackboard (University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences), I've been tasked by my management and legal to provide the following information to ensure that our institution is prepared for the CCPA changes.
Given that we are hosted, would I be able to gain access to this information for the various tables? Or is there information that Blackboard will providing through this project that can be referenced.
