University of St. Augustine for the Health Sciences is seeking an LMS (Blackboard) Support Specialist. This position would be located at one of our campuses in St. Augustine, FL; Miami, FL; Austin, TX; or San Marcos, CA. The Support Specialist would primarily be responsible for supporting faculty and instructional design staff using Blackboard and related learning technologies to build and deliver online courses. This person would respond to support requests, work directly with faculty and staff to troubleshoot issues, conduct day-to-day Bb operations activities, create documentation and training materials, conduct training sessions as necessary, and collaborate with IT and Instructional Designers to ensure a consistently exceptional customer support experience. The ideal candidate will have superb customer experience skills, experience with Blackboard as an Instructional Technologist or Administrator, and be adaptable to a fast-paced growth environment. Some key responsibilities include:


  • Monitors Blackboard support request tickets and solves faculty and staff user issues
  • Works with faculty one-on-one or in small groups for training and support
  • Creates and manages staff user accounts and enrollments and supports automated processes
  • Assists in course creation and configuration
  • Assists in data tracking
  • Identifies and communicates opportunities for process and quality improvements
  • Acquires and maintains knowledge of current technology as it applies to LMS software and systems
