I am trying to add a glossary of terms and definitions, but was hoping to also add auditory pronunciations (click and hear the word or phrase pronounced properly). Any ideas?
I highly recommend Quizlet, you can create a free account or with a paid account use analytics tools. It will allow you to create a terms bank which includes speech to text, (with a paid account you can record your own pronunciations). It's quite accurate, but may struggle with some scientific terminology.
The final Quizlet can be embedded within blackboard, but students can also create their own account and use the mobile app to learn on the go.

Perfect! Thank you.
I did this prehistorically (literally before Bb) by just uploading audio files of the names of bacteria, which I had recorded on my computer with a microphone.
Name the file with the term, and insert it into an Item using the paperclip icon.
Clicking the now-hyperlinked name should open/play the file.
Or, could you embed the audio files? That would probably be fancier and may play more easily.
I don't think Bb currently has any tools to do this inside it, but we've been told something about a recording tool being added that we should get when we upgrade to Q2 2018. I've not had a chance to test that yet.
