I have a student who says he was marked wrong on two test questions. He claims when reviewing the test, the answers that were shown as his submissions were not the answers he submitted, and that he submitted the correct answers and somehow they were changed by system and he should be marked right.
It sounds suspicious, but it is the first test of the semester. Looking for advise on how to handle this.
This is actually the second time I have had this complaint in my five years of using Blackboard. Has anyone heard of this before? Is there any way to verify whether this is fact?
Thanks
Yes, it used to be problematic, but I have not heard about it recently. The issue used to be the mouse wheel. If the student clicked an answer, then scrolled to the next question via the wheel BUT did not click outside the question, the resulting behavior was that the wheel would move the selections up and down through the question choices instead of going to the next question. I literally have not heard anything about this in 4+ years. That problem was back in the "SPxx" days.
