The Chartmaker Directory
You can select the tool you have and the chart you want to create and get tutorials. Thought you may find it useful.
It would also be great to have interactive reports on a dashboard. For instance, you get to see the student name or details when you mouseover points in a scatterplot. Another example is the ability to change the date range of the data visualisation without having to run the Blackboard Unit reports again. Rachel Scherer Ian Holder I've seen some of these functions on Tableau.
This is a great resource, Ian Holder! Our team has primarily used R (ggplot) and Google Data Studio for visualizing LMS data. I'd love to use d3.js in the future. I know you have used Tableau with success (we're currently looking into it); have you found great use cases for any of these other tools?
I confess I have not looked at many of the other tools, Ben Croft, sorry; if I hear of any people playing with them or I have a look I'll let you know. I like the idea ofd3.js also...
Ian Holder finds the coolest resources!
Thanks Ian. Love this matrix.
