PRODUCT UPDATES
Blackboard Learn – SaaS Update
As we move into 2018, we are thinking about and developing our teaching and learning products toward the greater good of a holistic, next generation digital learning environment through the lens of three critical, unifying product themes: academic effectiveness, learner engagement, and education insight. In the February Learn SaaS 3300.8.0 release, now available in SaaS production environments, we focused on academic effectiveness and learner engagement. We have also aligned our feature list below into groups based on the value and benefit they provide to the clients.

View all the details in the release notes here.
Mobile apps – Blackboard app & Blackboard Instructor app
Blackboard app coursesWe’ve also released key new features to the Blackboard and Blackboard Instructor apps including offline capabilities (both apps), and improvements to push notifications (Blackboard app).

Find all the details for the Blackboard app here and for Blackboard Instructor here. To ensure users have the best mobile experience possible, make sure institutions are on the correct Mobile B2 for their Learn version.
PARTNER NEWS
Blackboard and SAFARI Montage have partnered together to enrich the K-12 classroom by seamlessly connecting their leading learning object repository (LOR), loved by many K-12 institutions, with Blackboard Learn via Partner Cloud. The new integration will enable K-12 teachers to easily leverage the curated and created learning objects and resources available via the SAFARI Montage LOR within the Blackboard Learn LMS. New Blackboard and VitalSource Collaboration Supports Inclusive Access Model
On January 30, 2018, we announced a new collaboration with VitalSource to provide Inclusive Access of course materials to both Blackboard Learn and Moodlerooms through a Partner Cloud integration.

This unique integration will enable institutions to provide students with access to affordable course materials within our world class learning environments on day one of class, helping eliminate a fundamental barrier to student success.

The press release and blog post below provide additional information on this alliance.
