One of our instrutor ask to use a screen reader to grade students assignment (Learn original exp). I couldn't find any documentation, do you know if feasible, and if so, how?
Many thanks !
Go to Full Grade Center. You can turn screen reader mode on by clicking the chevron (down arrow) next to the title.
I had an instructor turn it on while using iPad. Not sure how good the screen reading is. There's a lot of information on the page and on the grade columns that are read. They might want to collapse the course menu too.
I'm not sure about the accessibility component but also try to download Bb Instructor app. I don't think you can enter manual grades in the grade center but you can grade submitted assignments.
many thanks ! will it work on the students atemps ?
I'm not sure. I just checked by clicking Needs Grading which goes to the student submission. I don't see anything for screen reader. The submissions appear in the New Box View so that could affect things (better or worse). They could always download the file.
The instructor app does allow you to grade the submission but I don't know how well it works with accessibility.
We focus so much on the students' perspectives that we sometimes forget about the instructor's needs.
oh ! I though we couldn't grade submission yet with the BB instructor app ?
yes, our instructors also have some needs
I didn't think you could grade either but I had an instructor tell me they could. I just checked the Instructor app and I don't see a way to grade.
maybe he used the former app "BB grader" ?
