Emails from Blackboard Sometimes Sent to Spam Folder

We have a long time known issue where emails generated through Blackboard's email or notification tools are sent to a user's spam folder in Gmail or other email clients. Although we advise affected users to check spam folders for messages generated from "do-not-reply@learnprod-5744b9beb8ccb-197933737.us-east-1.elb.amazonaws.com", faculty are extremely concerned that students are not seeing important messages concerning courses. The problem is not consistent, meaning some users experience it, but not with every email sent from this address.

We would like to know if this is an issue that can be resolved on Blackboard's end in a future software update.

Or, if there is something our IT department can do on the Google Apps administration side to prevent emails generated by "do-not-reply@learnprod-5744b9beb8ccb-197933737.us-east-1.elb.amazonaws.com from being automatically filtered to spam.
