Last week I started exploring the REST API with the intention of using it to automate a few things we're doing manually right now. As of Friday afternoon, it was working pretty well in my Dev VM and our Staging server both. I came in this morning to find I could no longer authenticate via REST at all. After the normal troubleshooting, I decided it must be an issue between Learn and the Dev Portal's exchange rather than anything I was doing. Sure enough an hour ago it started working again.
Is this a common thing? Is REST not considered "ready" for production use at this point? I'd rather not develop services around something that stops working for hours at a time
