We're getting ready to launch a pilot of A4L in the Fall semester. As I'm going through the reports, one of the questions that I have is how to restrict access to data by department. I want to give the department the ability to run an SSRS report (Student Activity by Instructor, for example), but without the ability to see the data from other departments. Is there any way short of full customization to restrict report field access by AD group? Or if not, is there a way that your institution has tried to tackle a similar problem?
