How do I set up an acheivement with three levels: bronze for all the week's assignments at 80% or higher, Silver for all the assignments at 90% or higher, and gold for all the assignments 95% and higher?
I think you would have to set up 3 different Achievements, one for each level for each week. Blackboard doesn't have a method for setting up levels of Achievements.
In the Triggers, only use the Grade section. Select the first weekly assignment from the Grade Center Column drop down menu, and set the condition to be either Percent Between with 2 values or Percent Greater than or Equal to with 1 value (i.e. between 80 and 90, between 90 and 95, greater than or equal to 95). You can click the Add Item button to add more than one Grade column (for more than one assignment).
So, your structure might look like:
Then, repeat for the additional weeks. You could shorten this by setting up Average columns that would calculate an overall average for the weekly assignments (although then a higher grade could offset a lower grade, meaning students would not necessarily have earned an 80% on each individual assignment), or a Minimum column for each week that determined what the lowest grade was that each student earned for each week. Then you would only need 1 column for each Achievement. That would look like:
I hope that helps!
