I am in the process of upgrading a building block which uses the Spring Framework. The idea is to get the building block ready for the 2016 Q4 version of our production server, but I am running into some issues. I can access the Building Block, but when I try to navigate to it's first route, I receive the message:
Servlet.init() for servlet spring threw exception Access denied for user 'root'@'xxx.xx.xx.xx' (using password: YES)
After some google searches, it seems to be related to a mySQL authentication failure (correct me if I'm wrong). This seems weird to me because Blackboard only works with mssql, oracle, and pgsql. Has anyone ever experienced a similar error? My Building Block does create some tables, but they are not meant for mySQL.
