Rubrics is not available in my class tools. How can I gain access to this? It was available last year.
This could be caused by a couple of things.
Are there any other staff who have access to your course page? Are they able to see the Rubrics tool?
Are you able to access any other course pages? Is the Rubric Tool available in those?
If the issue is only occurring in one course page, you may need to check your enrolment in that particular class.
If the issue occurring to all users, it may be that the Rubrics Tool needs to be turned on from the Sys Admin panel.
Both of these issues can be resolved by someone with system administrator privileges.
When you say rubrics are not available in your class tools, do you mean on the Course Tools list? If so, do you have access to "Tool Availability" under the "Customization" link on the Control Panel? That page controls what appears on your Course Tools list (and in a few other places). Open that page, scroll down to Rubrics and make sure at least the first column is checked (I'd recommend leaving the other 3 columns alone), click Submit, and then check the Course Tools list again.
Rubrics is not showing on class tools or in the tool availability section.

It sounds like David's right, then, and the tool may have been turned off at the system admin level. Check with your BbLearn administrator. Rubrics are important enough that I wouldn't be surprised if it was just a mistake that it was turned off, and that you're not the first to be looking for it.
I find that Rubrics Tool defaults to being turned off, after a system upgrade.
Could be as simple as something like that to caused the problem.
Rubrics is not showing in class tools or in tool availability.
