Does anyone know if Oracle 11g and/or RHEL 5 are on a roadmap for end of support? I'm trying to avoid 12c and ver. 6 upgrades, if possible, before a future move to SaaS.
Thanks for any info!
I realized that I was asking something I could/should research myself.
In case anyone is interested:
For RHEL 5 I found that without an Extended Life-cycle Support purchase, support ends March 31, 2017
For Oracle Database 188.8.131.52 - the Terminal (final) Patch Set for Oracle Database 11.2 - Oracle will waive (no extra cost, no action required) Extended Support to every customer with a valid support contract until May 31, 2017.
You can extend the Extended Support for Oracle Database 184.108.40.206 until 31-DEC-2020 - but then at the usual extra cost.
This information can be found in MOS Note:742060.1.
And let's not forget Blackboard's reclassification of Q4.2015 to Operational Support in June 2017.
This is making for a tremendous winter break update. Yes, that was sarcasm.
