I am wondering if anyone has experience with utilizing hierarchies in blackboard?
yes - what do you want to know?
We are currently implementing the hierarchy in Bb so that we can deploy the enterprise surveys to specific programs. As well as provide administrative access to specific staff.
We are just wondering what this looks like on the faculty side? Do we need to create a new tab/module for them?

Quick summary: Hierarchy Node associations generally have zero impact on end-users' experiences. There is nothing in Learn that will change for a regular student/instructor type user if you add/remove or change a node association. The only impact on courses is their "tool palate." You can change the tool settings for a node and courses who have a "primary" association with that node will inherit those settings.
There are a few existing threads on hierarchy within the community, maybe they can be help for you in the right direction.
This is great Simon,
