Status on Users receive a 'TEMPORARY scope is unavailable' message on timed out session issue

Greetings,

 

I have tested this and sometimes have received the "TEMPORARY scope is unavailable" message when logged on from an extended period of time (see article below), BtBb article #: 000041501.

 

I am including Noelle Stephens on this...does anyone know if a fix might be included in CU1 for Q4 2015 or separate patch? 

 

There have been some postings on the listerv and I can see where this will be confusing for students staying logged on to get this message with no log out option.

After Session Timeout - 'TEMPORARY scope is unavailable' raised instead of redirecting to login page

Issue Description: Users receive a 'TEMPORARY scope is unavailable' message when their session has timed out. They should instead be redirected to the login page.

 

Steps to Replicate:

 

Log in to Blackboard Learn as any user and idle on any page

Wait until session has expired (Confirm via Authentication logs)

Navigate to new tab as user

 

Observed Behavior:

The following error occurs:

TEMPORARY scope is unavailable.

 

Expected Behavior:

When a user's session times out, they are redirected to the login page.
