We've started using Collaborate Ultra and faculty/staff really like it. We've had an issue with the audio in recordings being out of sync with the video. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, suggested solutions?
I have the same issue too, even if I download the video it is out of sync.
I don't know why it happens, but you are not alone.
Thanks for highlighting this, we are about to start using Ultra Collaborate so this is good to know and test out beforehand.
Our last two recordings were so out of sync that they are unusable. The first recording used webcams/application sharing. We decided to skip using any webcams for the most recent video hoping that this would help, but it didn't. The video seems to run faster than the audio during the application sharing part of the recording. The file sharing with PowerPoint was OK.
Aargh! I just talked to tech support and found out that this is a known issue. I guess we'll stop even attempting to record sessions until this is fixed. Our hour-long webinar recording from yesterday is missing video from the last half hour. The audio and video from the first half hour are so out of sync that it can't be fixed. It's not just shifted - the video runs at a faster rate than the audio. VERY frustrating. I'm doing a screencast demo using Camtasia so that we have something to post for our faculty in lieu of the webinar recording.
Collaborate Support did claim to fix this timing lag issue introduced in Ultra's April upgrade by May 4th
The issue was classified severe enough to fix ASAP,
not waiting for the regular May update announced to happen by May 7th.
Anyone is invited to re-check, if that bad kind of Ultra experience has disappeared.
Have a nice weekend(and a great new Ultra experience next Monday)
I am experiencing this issue with my August 2016 recordings. This issue seems to have populated again.
