Is there a way to export quizzes as a plain text file?
Don't mind if it is more difficult than pushing a button but it has to be easier than copying and pasting the questions and answers.
I've written a Java program that does this for SOME types of questions. What kind are we talking about?
Just multiple choice
I've added the program to this GitHub repository. I haven't done too much testing, but it's served me well so far. Hope it helps!
Just tried it (Chris Job from RMIT University Australia). Thumbs up - well done Cliff.
Glad it works! Someday I'll figure out how to conveniently display the less common question types...
If you have Respondus, you can pull the questions from Blackboard and then export as a text file. But Respondus is a pay for program and not everyone has it.
Another alternative is to set the test review options to show ALL answers. Then take the test.....but don't answer anything. Just click submit. Once you are on the test results review page, you can copy the page and paste into Word or Text Edit. Works with both programs.
Could you explain a bit more about pulling questions from Blackboard? We have respondus and I'm familiar with going from respondus to BB, but I haven't used it to go the other direction. How are you pulling the questions from blackboard? Exporting the test to my local computer as a zip file doesn't seem to let me get that into respondus.
Thanks in advance!
