Assignment File Cleanup and Download Null Pointer Exception - Article No.: 000038950 - is this fixed in Q4 2015

The article below mentions that this is fixed in "April 2015".  Does anyone know if this did get fixed for Q4 2015 as I do not see it on the fix list and it is hard for us to verify in our test environment?

 

Let me know what you find and if not fixed in a future release as we have similar problem that happen from time to time like this but it is more for available and disabled status students.

Assignment File Cleanup and Download Null Pointer Exception when User row_status is 2

Issue Description: The Assignment file cleanup and/or download returns a null pointer exception error when any users are disabled at the system level (users table Row_status=2).

 

Steps to Replicate:

  1. Navigate to any course
  2. Enroll a Student user
  3. Navigate to a Content Area and click Assessments > Assignment
  4. Give the assignment a name and points
  5. Log in as the Student
  6. Complete the assignment by uploading a file
  7. Log in as the Instructor
  8. Navigate back to the course
  9. Go to the Grade Center > Full Grade Center
  10. From the assignment column contextual menu, select Assignment File Cleanup
  11. Confirm the page loads as expected
  12. Ensure the user is disabled (row_status=2 in the users table). This can be done from SIS feed or with sql: Update users set row_status=2 where user_id='fred'
  13. Navigate back to the course
  14. Go to the Grade Center > Full Grade Center
  15. From the assignment column contextual menu, select Assignment File Cleanup
Expected Behavior:
The Assignment files are able to be cleaned up.

 

 

Observed Behavior:
The following error is displayed:

An error occurred.  Contact the System Administrator.
