Extracting a course list for a user after moving to Managed Hosting?

We are preparing to move to Managed Hosting in a couple of months, and are at the stage of trying to figure out the best ways to retrieve data from the system once we no longer have direct access to query to the database for some of our local utilities.

One of the things we need to do is generate a list of courses for the current term where a particular user has been enrolled as instructor, in order to generate a course merge request.  Currently we just log into the database directly and run a simple query like

SELECT T1.PK1,

       T1.COURSE_ID,

       T1.COURSE_NAME,

       T1.INSTITUTION_NAME AS COURSE_MTG

FROM COURSE_MAIN T1

INNER JOIN COURSE_USERS T2

   ON T1.PK1 = T2.CRSMAIN_PK1

INNER JOIN USERS T3

   ON T2.USERS_PK1 = T3.PK1

WHERE T1.COURSE_ID LIKE '%.{$STRM}'

   AND T2.ROLE = 'P'

   AND T2.ROW_STATUS = '0'

   AND T2.DATA_SRC_PK1 <> 42

   AND T3.USER_ID = '{$netid}'

ORDER BY T1.COURSE_ID

Can we use web services to gather this data?  Are there other APIs to look at?  (We're new to Blackboard development and APIs...)

Thanks!

Mike
