Authentication Logs for AutoSignOn B2?

We have been having some discussion about this on the Bb ListServ (see emails convos below) and i was wondering if anyone if the community here may know if there is somewhere to see information about a user when they log in to Bb via SSO using the AutoSignOn B2. Thanks!

Interesting!

SSO really needs to make some log entries.

Matt, I just verified what you said.  I logged a userid in directly and via our portal.  See log entries in authentication and other logs for the direct login, but nothing I could find from the portal login.  Not sure how you'd ever find the guest session_id.  If it uses guest, how does it handle the privileges for that users to access their specific content?

Thanks for the information, Matt.  Would having a guest_session_id also cause issues with a student submission for an assignment, test or dropbox not to show in the course?

The AutoSignOn B2 does not write to the Authentication log (because no authentication is occurring). It just steals a guest session_id and associates the user to it.  Some versions don't even record a login event in the activity_accumulator, either.

The biggest annoyance from this is that you can't (out of the box) tell which app server a user landed on when they used the AutoSignOn to SSO into Blackboard.

Was looking into a user in the authentication log.

Saw a number of session expired entries, but never a login entry.

Seems a little strange to me.  Anyone have an explanation?
