All good things must come to an end, and be replaced with something way better. For the past several months, we’ve been promoting our new and improved, cloud-based CourseSites environment that provides you with the latest technology from Blackboard.

The new platform offers you access to a simple, yet powerful digital learning environment that goes beyond the traditional LMS. We’re happy to see so many of you using the new CourseSites to deliver a modern, best-in-class learning experience to your students.

If you have not yet moved your courses to the new CourseSites environment, please let this email serve as a reminder that the original CourseSites platform will be officially decommissioned on December 31st. To prepare for this retirement date, we suggest taking the following steps:

  • Learn more about the Ultra experience – you can watch a quick video, read a brief overview, or view video tutorials.
  • Visit our CourseSites FAQ page to familiarize yourself with frequently asked questions regarding this transition.
  • Register for the new CourseSites, as your login credentials will not work for the new platform. Don’t worry, registration takes less than 2-minutes.
  • Visit the Institution Page within the new CourseSites environment for helpful resources. (you can find the Institution Page located on the Ultra navigation menu on the left-hand side)
  • Export your courses from the original CourseSites platform and import them into the new CourseSites platform before December 31st - detailed export instructions can be found here and import instructions here.

Over the next several weeks, please anticipate additional communications from the CourseSites team reminding you of the December 31, 2018 decommission date as well as tips and resources to help you prepare.

We remain committed to providing you with a smooth transition process and encourage you to actively engage with us via the Blackboard Community page.

Thank you for being a valued CourseSites user. We look forward to continuing to provide you with an unparalleled and quality online teaching environment.
