When setting course menu colours advise instructor of contrast ratio and WCAG compliance

With the 2016 theme since 2018 Q2 it has been possible to allow instructors to set their course menu colour schemes in the original experience.  This is a very popular feature.

Screenshot of screen in Bb where instructor can choose menu colours.

Both Section 508 and Directive (EU) 2016/2102 use criteria based on WCAG 2.1 rules.  One such rule is the Colour Contrast Rule.  WCAG 2.1 AA has a minimum rule requiring "a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1" and WCAG 2.1 AAA has an enhanced rule requiring a contrast ratio of at least 7:1.

Wouldn't it be great if when an instructor sets a course menu colour scheme it advises whether the text and background colours are compliant with WCAG 2.1 AA or AAA and further if at an administrator level the admin could enable a setting to require compliance and not allow instructors to make inaccessible colour choices?

We currently direct our instructors to Colour Contrast Check - snook.ca  to check this:

This could also be added for the colour of content items, where the background colour is white.

Example of where you can set "colour of name" when adding a content item.

I don't believe that Ally checks for this currently so this could be an idea both for ally and for the native Bb original experience interface.
