Submitting this idea on behalf of my client.  Would it be possible to add access to the mobile camera while using the Apps?

We have faculty and students who use whiteboards and that take photos of the board after class. To get those photos into Bb currently, they have to upload them to a discussion board or go back to a computer to add them manually into the content areas. What would be ideal is this…

Faculty finishes taking notes on whiteboard. They pull out their phone and open Bb Instructor app. They go to their course. They pick a content area called Whiteboard Images (or some other area). The app opens their camera and lets them take photos of the board. The photos are taken, named for the current date and time, and automatically loaded onto Blackboard. No extra work for the faculty. Students then have instant access to the notes taken that day in class.

Students working on projects could do similar. They could take notes on whiteboard, pull out their phone and open Bb Student app. They go to their course. They pick a Group Space, Discussion Board, or Assignment. They choose photo input, and the app opens their camera and lets them take photos of the board (or boards/papers/etc). The photos are taken, named for the current date and time, and automatically loaded onto their Blackboard group, assignment, or discussion board. No extra work for the students to download or upload files. Students and faculty have instant access to the images of the notes.

If you want to make it EVEN better, look at some of the whiteboard capture apps that already exist. They will even re-orient the picture so it is square, brighter the color of the markers, clean up the writing, and some will even OCR scan so you can search the images later for full text. If you had those features in a phone app in the Bb App that would be amazing.
