The idea is quite simple. When a blackboard customer is migrating to a version or changing a theme (for instance from 2012 to 2016) or maybe later another theme needs to be created, then all existing courses will be in the old theme (at least, the navigation is). It would be usefull if there is an option to have a checkbox within customizing the themes saying "apply to existing courses"and a checkbox saying "apply to existing organizations".
Now every course has to be checked and to be set to the new layout (or actually: the background color and textcolor that is). If the mentioned checkbox is there, then you wouldn't have to check upon the courses and organizations if they are in the right layout, but they will already be converted to the new colorpalettes belonging to the new theme.
