We need this in SaaS pronto - option to not have email notifications. Just upgraded to SaaS and many people annoyed with notifications that you cannot completely shut off.
Submitted before I was finished, oops.
We need an option for users to turn off all email notifications. Current option allows the user to uncheck specific options but you cannot unselect the email option, thus the user still gets email notifications no matter what the user selects. The user only has the option to select "once a day" or "right away" for the email notifications. Please give our users the option to uncheck email notifications altogether and possibly by course/organization and by role. All of these options would be appreciated by our users.
A lot of faculty and students want this option to not receive the daily emails with notifications and even if they uncheck all the boxes under email notifications they say they are still receiving the daily notifications email and they would like the option to not receive it. Thanks! --Linda--

Yes please, please provide a way to turn off notifications entirely rather than a forced selection of minimum once per day emails even if you don't select any of the individual options. This would be especially appreciated by those of us who teach multiple course sections at a time. Just out of curiosity, I put a counter on the email folder where I route Blackboard notifications--last semester it received 163 notifications and yet all of the options boxes in my notification preferences are unchecked everywhere. Thanks!
Many thanks for the feedback. Can I clarify, is this for Learn SaaS running Learn Original (9.1) or the Ultra Course View, as i didn't see the necessary tag in the original request?. In Learn Original, Admins do have the capability to edit the notification collection functionality and also turn off any daily digest that is being produced.
If this is specifically in relation to Ultra Course View, this is indeed key feedback we have received and admin level notification settings are a feature we are moving into active development on this quarter with a target release within Q2 2019.
We are currently running Original view right now. I will look into this. But what we really want is a way for individual users to turn off email notifications easily and at their convenience.
thanks for the feedback and clarity. Students and instructors can manage their notification settings specifically through the Notification Dashboard and selecting Edit Notification Settings. This will allow them to access the Mass Edit notifications menu and by selecting the Courses I Teach (Instructor) or Course i Participate in (Student) they can choose to disable each notification setting globally.
Let me know if this helps to resolve your concerns.
Hi Dominic, yes, we know about having students and faculty change global notifications but there is no way to not get an email even when you set all notifications to off right now. I would like a checkbox to be added to the global email notifications screen to give the option of receiving no email notifications at all if the individual chooses.
