Under the System Admin tab > Logs > SIS Logs, there is the Data Integration Log Cleanup process that runs every 24 hours. If this process happens to run while integration flat files are being processed, it can disable faculty and students in their merge courses until the next integration run. After multiple instances of this process disabling users, I was initially told by Blackboard Support that there was a way to set the time of the Data Integration Log Cleanup process within the bb-tasks.xml file, however, that property appears to no longer exist, so the workaround was to run a rolling restart, meaning the Data Integration Log Cleanup process would run around that same time the next day. This turned out to not be a very good solution as datacenter maintenance is a recurring thing that changes the time of the log cleanup depending on the time of the maintenance, and most recently the time of the process moved for no reason at all.
I would like the property to be added to the bb-tasks.xml file that would allow for the time of the Data Integration Log Cleanup to be set such that there is no question as to when this process will run each day rather than being surprised by calls and tickets from users about their courses disappearing.
