Add the ability to do CAT (computerized adaptive test) during the test.
Since Blackboard is for delivering courses and hosting organizations, how would CAT apply? This is a method of determining what level someone is at in a subject matter; such as whether or not they qualify into a certain math class or what their reading level is. What Blackboard use case do you have in mind?
Placement testing. You don't want to have them to take tests if they can't answer the first 10 questions right, it should just end right there, and if one is able to answer first 10 questions, the next 10 questions should be harder or in different type of concept (i.e. Algebra 1, 2, geometry). For example, first 10 questions are in beginning math concepts, if they can't pass, why should they continue taking tests for Algebra if they can't master the basic math? It applies to 1, 2, and geometry. We also have a multi-level of American Language Sign placements depending on your skills.
One faculty is asking about CAT ability on Blackboard and I told her it is not possible. Right now, we have three separate tests and use the adaptive releases to achieve this method.
