EDIT 1/4/2018: After discussion with others and reading through the comments, I realized the original description of this problem is incorrect.  The behavior described below is actually currently implemented:

         1. Click point annotation icon in New Box View navigation bar

         2. Click location within document for point annotation

         3. Start typing (cursor already in text field)

What it appears users really want is the ability to select the point annotation icon and have it persist, allowing creation of multiple point annotations at once without having to reselect the point annotation icon in the nav bar each time resulting in the following behavior:

         1. Click point annotation icon in New Box View navigation bar

         2. Click location within document for point annotation

         3. Type comment within point annotation

         4. Click another location within document for additional point annotation

         5. Repeat as desired

    Here is an example implementation:

I've updated the title to reflect this change as well.

    Original description below:

Users want to be able to click the location for a point comment then immediately start typing within the comment text box; this would enable quickly repeatable feedback.  Currently, New Box View requires users to click for the location of the point comment, then click again in the text box to focus the cursor within the comment text area.
