Remove Discussion Board Pop Up in Blackboard APP

We do not allow students to edit or delete their own Discussion Board posts as these are graded items. The pop up in the Discussion Board suggests this is an option for students at our institution. We have enough support cases to date asking to edit and delete posts (that are refused). This pop up will ultimately cause more students to contact the help desk for an issue we cannot resolve - and Blackboard has no intention of changing as they sent me to this forum instead of providing a resolution in my support case.

    Prerequisite:

Student is enrolled in a course with active Discussion Boards.

    1. Log in as a student in the Blackboard APP
    2. Go to the course
    3. Go to Discussions
    4. Go to any DQ and post a reply
    5. Navigate away from the page and back to the DQ post
    6. Click on the post the you just submitted.

Expected: Since the option to edit or delete posts is NOT enabled in Learn, no pop up appears

Observed: The pop up appears regardless of course Discussion Board settings, although the options are grayed out, they are still visible to students.
