Non-responses in Needs Grading

    An instructor points out that non-responses to discussions and other student work do not show up in Needs Grading. This means that an instructor has to always go to the Grade Center to zero out these non-responses. A better approach would be to have the non-responses show up as Needs Grading after the due date has passed. This would give instructors a way to zero out those student fields in Needs Grading (which also resolves problems with the Running Total feature in Total and Weighted Total columns), as well as add feedback to these non-responses, as a way to get student attention and advise them.
