When you copy a course, for the Discussion Board option, there are two sub-options:
- Include start posts for each thread in each forum (anonymized)
- Include only the forums, with no starter posts
This same set of options should be provided for Group Settings, which would either keep and anonymize Group Discussion threads or only the Group Discussion forums would be copied forward. There are a number of use cases where faculty will want to keep Groups going forward, to maintain things like Adaptive Release, but not want to have the individual threads from previous group conversations copied.
