Microsoft Office has a feature called the Quick Access toolbar. Frequently used tools can be added saving users the time of wading through ribbons and menu options.
The instructor navigation in Blackboard is very cumbersome -- a lot of scrolling and clicking. I get around this by adding links to frequently used items to the top of the course menu and hiding them from students. This has to be done carefully, because hiding some items can block student access. While my current process works, I have to redo the menu every semester because most of my links point to a page with a specific course ID. It would be nice if a "quick access toolbar" could be a personal setting rather than a course setting and would appear by default with each course section that I access.
