It would be nice to be able to copy an assignment to another course after creating one, like you can for items, web links, etc.
We are a high school and have many teachers that teach various sections of similar/same courses and would like this feature.
Hi, Tom McKenna We are looking at this for the Ultra experience and hope to deliver the functionality in the second half of 2017. I'll be able to give a better idea on what release this might be in as we get closer to that time.
It's actually already possible on a few conditions.
When you go to the contextual menu (little arrow at the right of the name) of the assignment, there is no option to copy it, indeed.
However, you can copy a content area containing assignments and this would work.(not that not all institutions allow instructors to have those permissions, so this is to be discussed with the Bb Admin).
The workflow would be :
_ Host all the assignments in a specific content zone (let's call it "assessments" here)
_ Be in source course and choose in the bottom left menu "packages and utilities" and then "course copy". There you choose copy in an existing course, and choose the target course.
_ Tick the box in front of the "assessment" content zone AND tick also the box in front of "Grade center columns and settings" (otherwise it won't work because it won't know to create columns).
The instructor would still need to check the availability settings in the target course to make sure the deadline and availability are correct.
