Collaborate Ultra has drastically reduced our support calls. We use Collaborate Ultra via LTI integration with D2L, and the setup is relatively simple. However it does take multiple clicks to reveal the option to allow recordings to be downloaded. Now, we get more calls from students who have been told to view/download the recording of a meeting, or support staff who need to caption the recording, but the instructor did not enable download when she or he set up the meeting.
This request is to allow us to set up an institutional default to have the Allow Recording Downloads checked by default for our meetings which would reduce confusion and problems later and allow us to speed up the accommodation process.
