Bulk copy-into functions that are currently available in the command line tool are not part of SIS Integration framework, which comparatively reduces the efficiency of those using the framework.
I would vote for this feature
It is already possible - please see the presentation by Roger Gardner and me (Joseph Gliddon) from the last Blackboard conference. It covers in detail what you need to think about.

Thanks to John Porter, I recently got this working in my environment, which lets me stop using ye olde snapshot command (which I've only been using for COPYINTO):
"SIS can already copy into existing courses by enabling the Change on Update for Template Course Key (In advanced config > courses > field mapping). However, the copy reconcile option (which completely overwrites the destination course's content) is not in SIS."
