Groups: What are groups for? Wade said "for assessment" but I'm not sure what that ties in to in Ultra exactly. Are there no group assignments? Filters/views in Grade Center based on groups? Announcements: When a course is copied do all announcements that were posted go back to drafts? Students get an email notification if their…(Show moreShow less)
Is there a way to set primary instructor through the integration? At about 49:37 on the recording - Wade mentions rendering documents in screen with the initative with office 365, etc. Should we be a) using “document” to create all documents for a course if we want it rendered or b) be putting everything as a document in the course or c)…(Show moreShow less)
Hi Wade, Thank you for the honest response. We really don't want them to have to download it, but being as they're thelogical documents it is laborous to copy/paste. However, if we aren't looking at having them render in the next 6-9 months, it's a time investment that needs made.
We are running base nav on our test server and I'm wondering how to enable the course tiles (courses with images) in the courses view. When I look at courses in base nav I don't have an option to switch to tile view, currently. How do I enable the availability of tiles? Are we on a version that doesn't have it? A few have asked about customizing the terminology in the Ultra base navigation (e.g., courses might be called modules by some institutions). You can certainly make these kinds of changes. Here are the steps:
Go to the admin panel: Tools and Utilities -> Language Packs. Once in the pack, you’ll want to find your system default pack and make a copy of it. On the far right of the copy, you should an Edit option under Ultra Locale. Click on edit. In the upper right you should see a search option. Type in this string: “base.nav. Search for the portion of the base nav/label you want to change. Make your desired changes. Click Save. Click Publish.
Hope this helps! Thanks Wade Fields for sharing this response with another client.
