We are organising a meeting of the Irish Blackboard User Group, to take place in IT Carlow on Wednesday the 30th May. This is the afternoon before EdTech begins, so if you are planning to be in Carlow for EdTech, please consider coming a little early and joining the meeting. There will be no fee for the User Group meeting, and you do not need to be registered for EdTech.

With the help of Damien Raftery, we are trying to put together a programme that will be of interest. At the moment suggested topics include:

  • Blackboard & GDPR (Lee O’Farrell, National Forum)
  • Attendance monitoring using Qwickly within Blackboard (Kate Molloy, NUIG)
  • Supporting staff and student use of Blackboard
  • Mobile tests in Blackboard
  • Preview of Blackboard Ultra (has anybody upgraded yet?)
  • Demo of the Community Site
  • Did anybody go to the TLC event in Manchester? Maybe you could give a report?

If you have a topic to suggest, or have something to contribute yourself, please let us know by responding to this post.
