Please feel free to ask questions during the presentation. I will do my best to answer what I can. But please note we will have a questions session once we reach the end so you can hold your questions till then and I may defer some to that time.

Technical Collab tip. If you find the slide is not big enough to read data. In the main pane to the left there is a page with a magnifying glass over it. Those are View Controls and you can increase or reduce the slide size as needed.

Will the ppt be available at the end?

Kristen - Northumbria Uni

10:11 AM

Can you download the whole insight report in 1 excel or do you have to do it piecemeal?

MH-ClientCare

10:11 AM

Access to the presentation recording will be available.

MH-ClientCare

10:12 AM

Insight: it's mostly piecemeal. But each one will pull if needed the data for all environments if you're on the top most level.

I'm sorry--how do we join a testing cohort?

MH-ClientCare

10:37 AM

Hi Curtis, let’s table that question for the end of the session when Jennifer can go over that a bit more in-depth. I've noted the question.

UMS CA

10:39 AM

In LISTSERV parlance, these are BBADMIN-L and BLKBRD-L, respectively.

10:53 AM

Hi Curtis Bryant: I have looked up the cohort info. You go to the following BtB url and there is a url there to take you to the form and page to fill out electronically join the cohort program. blackboard.secure.force.com/btbb_articleview?id=kA570000000PB0Z

Jianrong Yu

10:53 AM

what does mean incr snapshot throughout day?

MH-ClientCare

10:56 AM

Snapshot: Means that through the day we take snapshots of the system. We take 10 snapshots one per hour, as well as 6 at the end of each day, and 6 at the end of each week on Sunday evening.

Cyndi Castro (UTEP)

Curtis Bryant #2

Jianrong Yu

10:57 AM

Could provide a little more on course could disappear on some fashion or other?

MH-ClientCare

11:01 AM

Hi Curtis, Yes I see what you mean. I have looked a bit further. It seems that cohorts are now part of the BB Community now. So I did a Cohort search and I chose a different article in that article was a cohort link which directed me to the following url blackboard.com/community/index.aspx which is to the BB Community. So I would suggest accessing the community and searching for cohort there. I do apologize for the older information which wasn't up to date.

Hi Jianrong, Courses can vanish in a number of ways. A user could have deleted the course. Or perhaps someone ran a feed file incorrectly etc.

How many times to you suggest recycle bin be emptied

Cyndi Castro (UTEP)

11:02 AM

Can I ask about the insight report on assessments - is that for blackboard assignments or will that include integrations such as turnitin or anything which creates assessment data in the grade centre?

MH-ClientCare

11:04 AM

Hi Elaine recycle bin give me a moment to look it up. We have another webinar coming in October about disk usage which suggests such things let me access the file.

Cyndi here you go: Knowledge Base Email Subscriptions Are Now Available blackboard.secure.force.com/btbb_articleview?id=kAA70000000CaX1 Defining Article Types in the Knowledge Base in Behind the Blackboard blackboard.secure.force.com/btbb_articleview?id=kA270000000Kzyl Blackboard Client Support Services Guides blackboard.secure.force.com/apex/btbb_articleview?id=kA570000000PB0o Note - you will need your Behind the Blackboard login credentials to access this material.

MH-ClientCare

11:05 AM

Hi Kristen that is a good question. I cannot accurately say. I would logical think it would encompass all but I would need to test that to find out exactly. Something o\to note about insight reports though is any testing done you will need to wait till the next day to see any updated info.

Kristen - Northumbria Uni

11:05 AM

That's great - thanks.

Jianrong Yu

11:05 AM

Sometime we have a hard time to find a know issue doc. Is there hot link regrading to known issue doc?

Cyndi Castro (UTEP)

11:06 AM

Thank you for the information

MH-ClientCare

11:07 AM

The recycle bin really should only need to be emptied about once a year or once every two years. But as I said we have another Disk Usage presentation coming again I would suggest to join that once it is pushed out so you can learn more about methodologies and such.
