With less than one year to prepare for a semester conversion and new hybrid delivery model, the Instructional Design & Technology (IDT) team needed to think outside of the box to prepare faculty with the necessary instructional tools for redesigning their courses. The IDT team created a Blackboard course called "Hybrid Course Design & Best Practices" that provides faculty development for the top five Blackboard tools that faculty should use in their course delivery as well as best practices in hybrid course design. Using both the Blackboard course and faculty workshops, the IDT team was able to engage the faculty in adopting the new instructional tools and delivery model. Once finished, faculty were able to build and evaluate a hybrid course. Participants will learn about these top five instructor tools that instructors need to use, which are essential components for delivering engaging content to today's learners.
