One of the challenges faced by the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) is to provide higher education access to the people of a bicultural, international borderland. In response to that challenge, UTRGV made a commitment to embrace technology as a means of reaching out to this geographically diverse population. With a focus on access and student success, UTRGV has leveraged the institution's technology to provide an inclusive and optimized experience for all. Working closely with their Blackboard Client Success Advocate, Student Services, and Consulting, UTRGV successfully improved users' overall experience by leveraging a comprehensive set of solutions and services beyond the LMS. This presentation will provide data around the status of efforts before and after implementing these solutions and services, as well as offer best practices for fostering success and institutional effectiveness.
