A math and a social science teacher at the high school level will share ideas and tools that they have used to create online courses using Blackboard, including a variety of websites and apps to build resources for students. A good, interactive course should be more than embedding notes and assignments; websites and apps such as EdPuzzle, H5P, Quizlet, Geogebra, Screencastify and Google Forms can be used to embed activities, lecture videos, student created videos, academic vocabulary practice, interactive videos, presentations and student interaction.Whether a course is used as the sole method of instruction, as a supplemental resource to the classroom, or as a remediation resource for struggling students, an online course needs to provide student learning that is engaging and interactive with feedback. Presenters will share the ways they can use Blackboard to seamlessly embed everything within the course itself and utilize the platform's assessment capabilities.
