Pssst! ...Do you *ENJOY* REST-ing? ...Do you *ENJOY* cooking up data queries? ...Did you know you *CAN* teach an old API NEW tricks? ...YOU WILL!!! Join us, as we get our hands messy cooking up some BbQL and unleash the power of the Blackboard REST API with GraphQL! This workshop will primarily focus on maximizing the power of the Blackboard REST API through a locally developed tool: BbQL - An Express/NodeJS/GraphQL Application written in Typescript.Basic understanding of & familiarity with using the Blackboard REST API & handling/reading JSON ResponsesFamiliarity with JavaScript/Typescript helps - Everyone is welcome! We will be reviewing lots of code and a crude web app that accepts GraphQL queries and returns JSON responses from a Managed Hosting Blackboard instance. What to bring to this workshop: - Laptop with the following installed:Node v10.5.0MongoDb shell v3.4.11
