Title: Defining Quality – Again – in Online Learning
Description: Since the beginning on online learning, we have struggled with quality. What does that mean? What do you look for? How do you qualify it? Is it objective or subjective? These questions have been asked for over a decade, and yet we still can’t seem to consistently deliver quality in online learning. There are of course folks who think their courses and programs are quality, but they aren’t judging them against any standards. And who decides the standards? Are they all “the best?” What are the consequences of not offering quality online learning programs? Or are there any? This session will explore how far online learning has come with regard to quality, and how far we still need to go.
