Summary

 

Assessment focuses on instructional activities designed to measure progress toward learning outcomes, provide feedback to students and instructors, and/or enable grading or evaluation. Join us as our speakers walk you through the ECP Rubric's exemplary characteristics of Assessment. We'll show you how to build exemplary course design pieces in a live environment - Educator Preview - which is Blackboard Learn with the Ultra experience. And, one of our 2017 ECP winners will give you a tour of her winning course within a Learn Original environment.

Speakers

Dr. Misty Cobb is the Program Manager of the Ultra Partnership Program at Blackboard. Misty's day-to-day focus is centered on gathering clients' experiences of Ultra and sharing those experiences within Blackboard to influence the Learn Ultra product roadmap. In her previous 6 years at Blackboard, Misty has held various roles in solution engineering in North American Higher Education and K-12 and product management.  Misty has more than 15 years experience in classroom instruction and administration in K-12 and higher education.  Outside of work, Misty enjoys Krav Maga, boxing, interior decorating, and reading. She resides in Alabama with her husband and three children (9, 5, and 5).

 

Dr. Claire Stuve is the Curriculum Developer & Technology Researcher and an adjunct instructor in the math department at The University of Toledo. Her responsibilities include developing research-based curriculum that incorporates emerging technologies and evaluating data on newly created and redeveloped courses. Claire’s research interests include using technology to foster engagement and applying the principles of good course design.
