Please see below for details of an opportunity for submissions for TELFest 2018, the University of Sheffield’s Technology Enhanced Learning Festival. It would be great to get representation from colleagues in the wider North England area. Please submit any session ideas, and forward to any colleagues you feel would be interested in contributing. We are particularly keen to hear from teaching staff who are using technology in their practice.
Deadline for submissions has been extended to Friday 23rd March, 2018, 6pm.

Call for participation
We are delighted to announce the call for participation for the University of Sheffield’s fifth annual TELFest, our Technology Enhanced Learning Festival, which is opening participation to other institutions for the first time.
The event will consist of a range of sessions designed to help delegates make the most of technology in their delivery of learning and teaching. Topics covered in previous events include social media, flipped learning, course design, electronic assessment, mobile learning, teaching spaces and much more. The festival offers a variety of opportunities to share practice and network with colleagues. We are particularly keen to hear from colleagues who teach on their uses of, and experiences with, technology in learning and teaching.
This year submissions on the following topics are particularly encouraged:
- Student creators
- Active learning
- Online learning activities
- Open learning
- Learning analytics
We welcome a range of delivery types, including workshops, case studies, panel discussions, debates and gamified activities, as well as participation in our regular Innovation Corner exhibition, which showcases the cutting edge of learning technology.
TELFest will be a free event for colleagues from Higher and Further Education Institutions, and non-profit organisations.
To share your practice during TELFest, please complete this form by Friday 23rd March 2018, 6pm (note extended deadline).
