Top 10 Highlights for Back to School

As the summer winds down and another school year begins, we wanted to provide a quick recap of the latest and greatest highlights across our teaching & learning products.

  1. 1. Join a Cohort Program
We understand that preparing for a Learn upgrade or making the move to the Ultra experience for Collaborate or Learn requires thoughtful planning, preparation, and support. That’s why we’re excited to offer cohort programs that can provide you with valuable information and best practices to ensure your success. Check out our upcoming cohorts here.
  2. 2. Take advantage of Learn & Collaborate Upgrade Toolkits
Did you upgrade to a new Learn release this summer? Or are you rolling out the Ultra experience for Collaborate or Learn this semester? We’ve created Communication toolkits to help you generate awareness, excitement, and ultimately adoption of the new functionality. You can find these toolkits on the Blackboard Help site here: Learn 9.1; Learn with the Ultra experience; Collaborate. Also, don’t forget to join the Upgrade Club thread on the Community site to share your experience with your colleagues.
  3. 3. Customize the Learn 2016 theme to make it your own
The Learn 2016 theme for the Original experience of Learn (aka, Learn 9.1) enhances the overall look and feel of Learn and provides a much more responsive, enjoyable mobile experience for users. Plus, you can customize the theme with the help of new resources now available.
  4. 4. Encourage students to download the Blackboard app (formerly Bb Student)
With a new name and refreshed icon, the Blackboard app for students is ready to head back to school. The Blackboard app helps students stay on top of tasks, quickly get their grades, and engage with instructors and peers. Our updated Blackboard app Adoption Toolkit has all the resources you need to promote the app to your students.
  5. 5. Try the brand-new Blackboard Instructor app
Last month we launched the Blackboard Instructor app, our brand-new app that gives instructors a simple and intuitive way to manage courses, interact with students, and preview content. The app follows our continuous delivery model and will introduce new features as they’re developed. We’re currently working on grading capabilities, which we will be releasing in the coming months. In the meantime, the Bb Grader app remains available in app stores.
  6. 6. See what’s new in the Ultra experience for Learn
